Maduro Welcomes Russian Scientific Vessel Admiral Vladimirsky in La Guaira
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro boarded the Russian oceanographic research vessel Admiral Vladimirsky this Sunday, which arrived on Saturday at the Port of La Guaira, in an event symbolizing the close cooperation between the two countries.
Maduro extended a “cordial and fraternal welcome” to the Baltic Fleet crew, highlighting that this visit reaffirms the commitment of brotherly peoples like Russia and Venezuela, especially in matters of maritime security and technology.
Reaffirming Brotherhood and Strategic Cooperation
During his visit,President Maduro signed the ship’s guestbook, expressing his satisfaction and recalling that the crew are heirs of the Red Army that freed Europe from Nazifascism in the Great Patriotic War, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. The president emphasized that Venezuela and Russia are increasingly united in the struggle for a new world of peace and the independence of the peoples of the world.
A Message of Unity and a Shared Future
Maduro sent his special greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the military forces of “New Russia,” underlining that “the seas of Venezuela are open to cooperation for a new world alongside Russia.”
The visit also included an exchange of gifts between the Russian delegation and the Venezuelan president, symbolizing hospitality and the strengthening of historical and strategic ties between the two nations.
